<p>PURPOSE:To enable an automobile fuel tank to be efficiently fitted to a vehicle body by combining the moving action for moving the fuel tank to its fitting position via a first moving means and a lifting/lowering means with the inserting action for inserting an lockedly engaging member into a first lockedly engaging hole. CONSTITUTION:A fuel tank 1 and a bandlike belt 2 are abutted on each other, and are pivotally mounted by a pivotally mounting means 9. Then, in the lower position under the fuel tank 1 fitting position, a lockedly engaging member 4 together with a pivotally mounting means 9 is moved by a first moving means 13, so that the member 4 is inserted into the upper part of a first lockedly engaging hole 7. In this case, the first retaining means 10 side of the tank 1 moving with the pivotally mounting means 9 is moved nearly to its fitting position. After this movement, the second retaining means 11 side of the pivotally mounting means 9 is lifted up by a lifting/ lowering means 12, and by this lifting-up a lockedly engaging bolt 5 having been retained by the second retaining means 11 is positioned in the vicinity of a second lockedly engaging hole 8. At this time, the second retaining means 11 side of the tank 1 being lifted up together with the pivotally mounting means 9 is lifted up to its fitting position.</p> |
