PURPOSE:To obtain a microwave resistor wherein reflection loss, resistance to electric power property and deflexion strength are improved by mixing alumina powder with cobalt zinc ferrite powder and sintering the mixture at the specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:The aimed microwave resistor is obtained by regulating cobalt zinc ferrite powder to 20-80wt.% and mixing alumina powder of residual ratio with this powder and sintering this mixture while holding it at a temp. range of 1,400-1,500 deg.C for one hour or more. By the above method, the excellent microwave resistor which has mechanical strength (resistance strength) larger at two times or more, allowable electric power larger at 10 times or more and reflection loss not less than 20dB in comparison with cobalt zinc ferrite is obtained. When the ratio of ferrite powder is less than 20%, reflection loss is small and improvement effect is eliminated. When the mixed powder is held at 1,550 deg.C for one hour and sintered, one part is melted and it is made extremely difficult that the mixed powder is worked into a required shape and dimension. |
