PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a pocket telephone set main body so that the main body can be put in a pocket by providing an internal power source which controls the transmitting output of the telephone set main body to the specific lowest value and an amplifier means to an external adapter and making the power source and adapter removable from the main body. CONSTITUTION:The transmitting output of a radio section 1A is set to the specific lowest value (e.g., 6mW) and the output is not controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor of the section 1A sends a signal for controlling the output voltage of the section 1A in accordance with a command received by the receiver of the section 1A through terminals 25a-25b. Upon receiving the control signal from the microprocessor, an output power control circuit 12 controls a power amplifier 13 to, for example, levels 1-8. Therefore, the size and weight of this pocket telephone set main body can be reduced and the main body can be put in a pocket easily. |
