PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for repeating so that an urgent original can be allotted quickly by performing transmission of picture signals between store and forward exchange systems for facsimile by using different channels at every page of the original. CONSTITUTION:When an original sent from facsimile equipment is composed of plural pages and information indicating 'urgency' is sent by means of, for example, a prescribed control signal (NSS, etc.) in the facsimile communication of a prescribed transmission controlling procedure, a CPU 301 (401) first accumulates picture signals of the 1st item in a storage device 303 (403) after reception and transmits the accumulated picture signals to another store and forward exchange system for facsimile through the 1st channel (NCU) 3041 (4041). Then the CPU 301 (401) accumulates picture signals of the 2nd item in the storage device 303 (403) after reception and transmits the accumulated signals to the another store and forward exchange system for facsimile through the 2nd channel (NCU) 3042 (4042). Thereafter, the CPU 301 (401) repeats similar operations. Thus the time required for repeating can be minimized to the shortest. |
