PURPOSE:To excavate a tunnel having an arbitrary sectional shape within a small non-excavation range by mounting a vertical rotational excavating member on a vertical shaft installed to the front of an excavator body and constituting a tunnel-axis rectangular rotary type excavating device. CONSTITUTION:Vertical shafts 4... are set up to the front of a shield machine body 1, and vertical rotational excavating members 5... are bridged to the vertical shafts 4..., thus constituting tunnel-axis rectangular rotary type excavating devices A.... The cross sections of the vertical rotational excavating members 5... are formed to polygons, and excavating edges 6... are disposed along the ridge sections of the members 5. The tunnel-axis rectangular rotary type excavating device A may be interposed between a pair of adjacent rotary type excavating face plates 10, 10 rotating centering around a horizontal axis in place of the constitution. |
