<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of the search of the day of the week and to attain smooth input operation by adding the day of the week information to the date information of the dominical year reckoning inputted to a word processor automatically. CONSTITUTION:A character column, '1987-ten 8-gatsu 11-nich' (August 11, 1987), (Japanese syllabary) is inputted from an input means 1, for instance. A control part 3 transmits the character column to a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) converting means 4 and designates KANA/ KANJI converting. The means 4 converts the character column into a KANA/ KANJI mixed sentence and obtains '1987-nen 8-gatsu 11-nichi' (Chinese character). Next, the control part 3 transmits a result to a day-of-week enumerating means 5 and indicates it to enumerate what day of the week the day is. The means 5 enumerates that the day is Tuesday. The control part 3 indicates to a day-of-week adding means 6, 'ka' (Tuesday), (Chinese character) is added to the result obtained with the means 4 and '1987-nen 8-gatsu 11-nichi (ka)' {August 11 (tuesday), 1987} (Chinese character) is obtained.
