A system core is made of a number of laminated electrical steel sheets, each having a round aperature and being disposed around the aperature such that a closed magnetic circuit is formed around the aperature. A bore for receiving the rotor is formed by the aperature when the sheets are laminated. A stator coil is composed of signal turn with a pair a terminals and is mounted on one side of the bore of the core. A single magnetic, nonmechanically rotation sensor is disposed on the core adjacent the electrical power of the stator coil is alternatively switched over by the controller.
