PURPOSE:To prepare the title resin which has improved heat resistance and gives a molded article improved in strength, extensibility, etc. without using any solvent by incorporating a mixture of a specified thermoplastic polyester with a specified mixture into a cyanato resin. CONSTITUTION:A polyetherimide (a) is mixed with a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (b) having a crystalline melting point of 190-250 deg.C in a ratio of (a) to (b) of (9-5):(1-5) at 280-320 deg.C to give a mixture (A1), which is them mixed with a lowly crystalline or non-crystalline thermoplastic polyester (c) in a ratio of A1 to (c) of (9-5):(1-5) at 200-240 deg.C, thereby giving a mixture (A2). The component A2 is mixed with a cyanato resin (B) [e.g. a 2,2-bis(4-cyanatophenyl)propane prepolymer] in a ratio of A2 to B of (5-60):(95-40) at 100-140 deg.C. |
