PURPOSE: To cut and separate a cut article from a hemispherical block, and polish it in the same work station by simultaneously supporting a disc for cutting and a grinding wheel for polishing by respective pins. CONSTITUTION: A lower part of a blass block to form an article held by a clamp 5 is formed as a hemispherical block 48. Two discs 10 for cutting and grinding wheels 11 for polishing are installed on the same pin 13, so the article is cut and polished in the same work station. This pin is selectively positioned to a high position or a low position along an axis 24 relative to the article by actuation of a piston 37 to supply pressure fluid to a duct 40. Position regulation of the pin 13 to the low position along the axis 24 is performed by moving a member 21 to a structural member 18 by a micromotor 25. In addition, distance of pass of the pin 13 along the axis 24 in moving from the low position to the high position is adjusted by actuation of a micromotor 33 to displace a member 29. |
