The invention relates to a device for correcting a feed axis and is used on feed axes with rotational drive and translatory movement by means of a rolling screw drive. To this end, the screw-drive spindle is coupled directly to a force or torque source or via interposed mechanisms and an axial bearing, and furthermore a drive control loop for the feed movement is connected to a correcting control loop for the axial loading of the screw-spindle drive. The force made available produces an additional translatory movement through elastic deformation in the course of the axial support of the slide drive, as a result of which the axial reference base of the rotationally initiated feed movement is displaced in a correcting manner in such a way that the desired value and actual value of the position coincide without action having to be taken in the rotational train of the feed drive.
