Method and installation for the measurement and integration of the flow of waste-water (foul water, sewage) through a non-syphoning waste-water pipe of a waste-water system having open channels. The waste-water level present in a storage volume, shaft, basin or channel upstream of the waste-water pipe or in the region of the waste-water pipe upstream of the flow-measuring region is sensed and the throttle element is controlled as a function of the water level sensed or this water level is controlled, the flow-measuring region being maintained completely filled.
