<p>PURPOSE:To permit the detection of the existing direction of a target by a method wherein a proximity fuse is provided with an antenna, attached to the upper part of the fuselage a missile transmitting the output of a modulator to the direction of the target, and an ignition circuit, operating by judging the quadrant of the target by the comparing result of a signal comparator. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting signal is modulated by first and second modulators 12a, 12b and is transmitted to the lower and upper direction of a missile by first and second antenna 4a, 4b. A reflected wave from a target is received by antenna 4c, 4d attached to the fuselage of the missile. When the target exists in the first quadrant, for example, a signal by a beam I is received stronger than signals by the beams II-IV, whereby the output of a fifth wave detector 8e becomes highest. Accordingly, the output of a 10th comparator 9j (not shown) becomes a low level and is converted in a first inverter 31a (not shown) into a high level, then, is inputted into a first AND circuit 32a (not shown) and, therefore, a first ingition circuit 10a is operated. Only second, third and fourth ignition circuits 10b, 10c, 10d are operated when the target exists in the second, third and fourth quadrants in the same manner, whereby the existing direction of the target may be identified.</p> |
