PURPOSE:To obtain a planographic plate not causing background stains and having high printing resistance by incorporating resin particles having functional groups producing carboxylic groups upon decomposition in a surface layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface layer contains the particles of the resin having at least one kind of the functional group producing at least one carboxylic group upon decomposition or having at least one part of the resin molecule cross-linked with the other molecule, and these resin particles are dispersed into the surface layer and other than the binder resin of the matrix of said layer, thus permitting a copied image faithful to an original image to be reproduced, background stains not to occur because the hydrophilicness of the nonimage area is rich, electrostatic characteristics of a photoconductive layer lying under the surface layer to be kept good, and printing resistance to be enhanced. |
