PURPOSE:To shorten the necessary time of input and output to and from the input/output equipment of a different system and to save program capacity, by performing data transfer between an application program and an input/output package program through a common memory between computers. CONSTITUTION:Central processing units CPU1 and CPU2 of systems A and B have a global memory 3 available for common access and are linked together through an inter-CPU linkage bus 4 for causing a linkage interruption between both CPUs. Those two CPUs 1 and 2 are connected to an external storage device 6 through a multiaccess controller 5 and either CPU is enabled to access to this external storage device 6. Further, a CRT7 and a typewriter 8 are connected to the CPU1 of the system A and a CRT9 and a typewriter 10 are connected to the CPU2 of the system B. |
