PURPOSE:To obtain a remedy and preventive for liver disease containing phytic acid and salt thereof as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The aimed agent containing phytic acid and salt thereof, various kind of phytic acid salt and mixture thereof, preferably existing in the range of pH 6-8 as active ingredients. Dose of the above-mentioned compound is normally preferably 1-100mg/kg/day/adult as phytic acid. Phytic acid salt includes a nontoxic metallic salt of phytic acid, nontoxic salt of phytic acid with an organic base, nontoxic salt of phytic acid with a basic amino acid or nontoxic salt of phytic acid with an organic ester residue and is used singly or in the combination with phytic acid.
