Accessory device for medical syringes

An electronic accessory device for medical syringes, especially insulin syringes for long-term use, is characterised, according to the invention, by a recording or input means for recording of the medicament dose administered with each injection process, by a timer or clock generator for generating a defined time pulse, by an electronic central unit which is connected on the input side to the recording or input means and the timer or clock generator and is connected to a storage means for storing at least the medicament dose administered during the last response process of the recording and input means and of the associated, defined time point or time pulse, and by a display means connected to the central unit for the stored data or the data calculated therefrom. The recording and input means are preferably coupled directly to the metering device of the syringe and the entire accessory device is integrated in the housing of the medical syringe. This results in a space-saving device which is extremely easy and reliable to handle and is especially suitable for insulin therapy because of the need for frequent administrations.
