Sitting arrangement for terraces in football stadia

The invention relates to a sitting arrangement for terraces, preferably those in football stadia. The object of the invention is to provide a sitting arrangement which permits a game to be followed from a makeshift sitting position. Fatigue and emotions are thus to be lessened. Such a seat must be height-adjustable, pivotable into the sitting position and moreover adjustable into a space-saving position not obstructing passage between the terrace steps. According to the invention, these requirements are met in that the sitting arrangement illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2 consists of a vertically situated threaded rod 1 which is firmly but detachably inserted between horizontally arranged hoop guards 2 of the terrace and the terrace steps 3. On the thread of the threaded rod 1, a gripping sleeve 4 with corresponding internal thread can be screwed on and off, a seat holder 5, to which a seat 11 is fixed, being rotatably mounted on an annular nut 6 on the shoulder 4', of the gripping sleeve 4, equipped with a threaded part. The seat has the shape and size of a bicycle saddle. The threaded rod is bounded on two sides by mutually parallel flattened portions 1' on which circular pressure pieces 8 rest, as shown in Fig. 2 which is a section along the line A-A of Fig. 1. These pressure pieces are held in mutually opposite bores of an annular guide sleeve 9 and are subjected to the action of the compression springs 7. <IMAGE>
