PURPOSE:To easily set and correct many kinds of parameters at low cost by connecting a device equipped with a memory stored with plural parameter information values and a display part to the electronic musical instrument and controlling musical sound characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The setting device 100 is connected to the electronic musical instrument by a cable CB1. The device 100 is so constituted that a ROM 104A which is already written and a new P-ROM 104B are connected by IC sockets. The kind of parameter information to be set is specified on a parameter specification panel 101 and the value of the parameter is set on a control panel 102. Then an arithmetic unit 105 detects them according to the program in a program memory 106 and stores them in a working memory 108. Then when the panel 102 is specified by the parameter information source of the musical instrument 200, the parameter information is displayed on a display device 103 and a musical sound signal Gv is generated with the parameter information supplied from the memory 108. Therefore, many kinds of parameters can easily be set and corrected at low cost. |
