Ophthalmic compositions having anti-inflammatory activity, are prepared by dissolving lysine- alpha -methyl-4-(2'-thienyl carbonyl) phenyl acetate in water, isotonising the solution, adjusting the pH to 6-8, and sterilizing by filtration. If desired, a hydrophilic polymer may be added to the solution.
