PURPOSE:To prepare an asymmetric membrane to be used for separation of gaseous CO2 by forming a thin film from a polymer soln. prepd. by dissolving an aromatic polyimide having >=90% content of recurrent unit expressed by a specified general formula in halogenated phenol. CONSTITUTION:A polymer soln. is prepd. by dissolving an aromatic polyimide having >=90% content of recurrent unit expressed by the formula I in halogenated phenol. On one hand, a water/alcohol soln. contg. 40-60vol.% alcohol is prepd., and a thin film is prepd. from the polymer soln. using the water/ alcohol soln. as coagulating liquid, thus, an asymmetric membrane to be used for separating gaseous CO2 is prepd. Concrete examples for the halogenated phenol are monohalogenated phenols such as o-, m-, or p-chlorophenol, or o-, m-, or p-bromophenol, etc. |
