PURPOSE:To eliminate an unstable image on a developing sheet and to improve image quality by preventing a capsule from rupturing by means of making previously an image forming sheet in a pressure fluctuating region at the time of opening and closing a developing means, a pressing roller, react with the aid of an electron beam or an ion beam before developing. CONSTITUTION:A corona electrostatic charger 5 moves together with an optical movable carriage and emits an electron beam on the specific region of the image forming sheet 8, i.e., regions A and A' which can not evade the pressure- fluctuating of the pressing roller 6 at the time of opening and closing the pressing roller 6 before and after an original 2 is transferred onto the said region. The emitted electron beam reacts with the coloring precursor of the regions A and A' on the image forming sheet 8 and hardens a microcapsule. The corona electrostatic charger 5 can also emit an ion beam. Thus, a color image which is excellent in the reproducibility of color and in gradation can be recorded. |
