PURPOSE: To obtain a composite nonwoven fibrous hydraulically entangled coform material having rubber elasticity by hydraulically entangling a coform containing a specified admixture of melt-blown fibers and a fibrous material. CONSTITUTION: Fibers melt-blown from a melt blowing apparatus and/or a fibrous material fed by the tear of a pulp sheet or other method has elasticity so that an elastic product is produced after hydraulic entanglement with a jetting apparatus 36. A joined stream of the melt-blown fibers and the fibrous material is collected on a belt 30 and a coform 32 is formed. After hydraulic entanglement, the coform may be optionally passed through an adhesion station 38 and a drier 52.
