PURPOSE:To improve the storage stability and the photo-deterioration resistance of an indolenine-type cyanine pigment against red to near infrared light by compounding the pigment with a singlet oxygen quencher. CONSTITUTION:An indolenine-type pigment expressed by formula phi-L=psi(X<->)m (phi and psi are indolenine ring residue and benzoindolenine ring residue; L is linking group for forming a cyanine pigment; X<-> is anion; m is 0 or 1) is compounded with a singlet oxygen quencher (preferably a transition metal chelate compound wherein said chelate is acetylacetanato, dithio-alpha-diketone, phenyldithiol, salicylaldehydoxime, or thiobisphenolate) to improve the photo- stability of aid pigment. |
