<p>PURPOSE: To minimize module deformation of an air bag by providing a repulsive member to resist against deformation of a container in the neighbourhood of an opening as the air bag is pushed out of a cavity. CONSTITUTION: A wall 20 of a container 14 forms a cavity 22 to receive a cylindrical gas generator 24 and an air bag 26 of a vehicle. At the time of collision, the gas generator 24 works, and inactive gas is pressurized and speedily guided to the cavity 22. Consequently, a V shaped groove 32 can be branched to flaps 33, 34, and the air bag 26 can be arranged in a cabin. While the air bag 26 is arranged, a non-elastic connecting strap 46 works on the container 14 in the neighbourhood of an opening 28 and works as a replusion member to resist against force to expand a central part of the container by pressure by arranging the air bag. Module deformation of the air bag is minimized by this connecting strap.</p> |
