In a method of indicating pollution of a side of a vehicle 1, the vehicle is positioned in a wind tunnel 2 facing essentially directly into the direction of the wind. The vehicle side 7 is provided with an indicator, suitably coated with a paint which changes colour on contact with water. Wet or moist air 5 is made to flow past the vehicle side 7, and the successive change in colour which then occurs is recorded and calculated. An arrangement for implementing the method of indicating the pollution includes a wind tunnel 2, in which the vehicle 1 is placed, the vehicle being provided with an indicator on the vehicle side 7 to be measured, suitably being coated with a moisture-sensitive paint. The arrangement also includes a shower arrangement 4 for delivering water in a finely divided form, a video camera 6 which is directed towards said vehicle side 7 and is arranged so as to record changes in the appearance of the vehicle side 7, and a computer unit 8 connected to the video camera 6 for processing images recorded by means of the video camera 6. <IMAGE> |
