PURPOSE: To attain a miniaturization by deciding a cut and a size of a resonator so that a second counter mode different from a first mode can be connected with a first mode. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with three parallel hexahedron bars 2-4 arranged in parallel, two rectangular plates 5 and 6 connected with one edges of the bars 2-4, and fixed arms 7 and 8 arranged at the both sides of the central bar 3. Those parts 2-8 are formed in a thin (x)×2 deg. cut crystal wafer by a photographic technique. Then, the size of the various elements of a resonator 1 is selected so that the extension modes of the bars 2-4 can be elastically connected with the deflection modes of the bars and the plates 5 and 6 having resonance frequencies close to the frequencies of the extension modes. Thus, the resonator with smaller full length than that of a known resonator can be obtained in the same resonance frequencies.
