PURPOSE:To improve a track width accuracy and a manufacture yield by making a metal-ferrite boundary surface into a curved surface to be convex in a direction projected on a gap surface. CONSTITUTION:The title head is formed of a pair of core half bodies 1 and 2, for example, a metal oxide ferromagnetic substance such as an Mn-Zn ferrite, and a gap faced surface 6 is in a curved surface shape to be concave in the direction projected on the surface of a gap spacer 5. On the surface, a metal 4 such as a Sendust which is a ferromagnetic substance metal is provided in the thickness of the degree of 1-10mum from the top of the curved surface 6. The core half bodies 1 and 2 are deposited by a butt glass 3 in sandwiching the gap spacer 5, and they are made into the magnetic head. Thus, the inconvenience of a dummy gap is eliminated, and since the track width can be regulated by a dicing work with a good accuracy, a track width size accuracy is improved, and the yield is also made good. |
