PURPOSE:To efficiently and economically realize stocktaking works on one kind of commodity by dividing stocktaking works for all kinds of commodities into several stages and independently executing each works with time lags. CONSTITUTION:Bar codes, commodity names, and shelf position information are printed on bar code labels by means of a printing means 5 based on the shelf position information of a commodity master and the labels are arranged in corresponding to positions of commodities having the numeric values printed on the labels. Then counting of inventory numbers of commodities, writing of inventory numbers on the labels, and recovery of the bar code labels in the unit of each shelf position are performed and the bar codes on the labels are read by means of a bar code reading means 11. When the inventory number written on the labels and shelf position information based of the arrangement of shelves are inputted through a numeric value inputting means 3 thereafter, a control section 1 stores numbers of the bar codes, inventory numbers, and shelf position information in a storing means 2 and necessary data, such as quantities of each inventory, amounts of each inventory, etc., are obtained from the stored data. Therefore, the stocktaking works for each kind of commodity can be performed efficiently and economically. |
