PURPOSE:To prohibit the exhibition of absorption in a visible region and to obtain a high nonlinear optical effect by incorporating a specific benzene substitution product into the above material. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by formula I is incorporated into the above-mentioned material. In formula I, R denotes alkyl group which may have substituent, X denotes electron-attracting group. In formula I, R and X are so determined as to attain R=CH3, X=CH;R=CH3, X=COCH3;R=CH3, X=COOC2H5;R=CH3CH2C*HCH3, X=CN;R=CH3CH2*HCH3. X=NO2 or R=CH3CH2, X-COCH3. The electron transfer at the time when polarization takes place is rapidly induced and the marked nonlinear optical effect is exhibited; in addition, the exhibition of the absorption of the visible region is prohibited. |
