PURPOSE:To obtain recorded images of stable image quality even if the surface potential of a photoreceptor fluctuates by detecting the surface potential of the photoreceptor prior to projection and exposure of the images after charging and controlling an exposure means in accordance with the detection signal thereof. CONSTITUTION:A potential sensor 7 is driven by a potential detecting circuit 8 to detect the surface potential of a photoreceptor 1 prior to projection and exposure of images after charging and transmits the detected information to the circuit 8. In accordance with said information, the circuit 8 outputs the information on the surface potential of the photoreceptor to a control circuit 9. The circuit 9 opens a gate at a specified timing prior to irradiation of an irradiating lamp 4, accepts the output of the circuit 8, and outputs the information to a control circuit 10 for the irradiating lamp so that the lamp 4 irradiates light. If the irradiation of the lamp 4 is controlled in such a way, less influences of noises, etc. are affected than by controlling the quantity of light of the lamp 4 during one time of projection and exposure of images and the recorded images of highly stable and excellent image quality are obtained. |
