PURPOSE:To obtain a vertical magnetizing recording medium whose coercive force in the vertical direction is not varied, and also whose surface property is satisfactory, by depositing a Co-Cr film at a specified depositing speed onto a substrate, by use of a vacuum vapor-depositing method. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 1 which makes a sheet run on a cam 2 in the direction as indicated with an arrow A from a roll 3,and winds it to a roll 4 (a symbol 5 is a mask and S is a slit), a vertical magnetizing film consisting of Co-Cr is formed, controlling a depositing speed to a range of 0.65-6mu/sec, by a vacuum vapor-depositing method using an electronic beam evaporation source 6, and a recording medium is obtained. In this way, a Co-Cr vertical magnetizing film whose surface property is satisfactory is obtained stably. |
