PURPOSE:To obtain the photographic characteristics of the title material such as a hyper high contrast and a high sensitivity, and to lessen the generation of a black spot in the photosensitive material by incorporating a hydrazine derivative in at least one layer of emulsion layers or another hydrophilic colloid layers, and said emulsion layer has a specified surface area in the crystal face (1, 0, 0) of a silver halide particle contd. in a silver halide emulsion. CONSTITUTION:The crystal face (1, 0, 0) of the silver halide particle contd. in the silver halide emulsion layers is 15-85% on the basis of the total surface area of the silver halide particles contd. in the emulsion layers, and the hydrazine derivative is incorporated in the least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers or the another hydrophilic colloid layers. And, the silver halide photographic sensitive material is developed with a developer which contains a sulfurous acid ion of >=0.15mol/l and has pH of 9.5-12.5. Thus, the photographic characteristics such as the hyper high contrast and the high sensitivity and the high optical density Dmax. of the photosensitive material are obtd., and the generation of the black spot in the photosensitive material is lessened. |
