PURPOSE:To take a reliable photograph even if there is an error in distance measurement by making the long-distance side of the focusing range of a macrophotographic mode and the short-distance side of the focusing range of a normal photographic mode overlap with each other. CONSTITUTION:A main CPU sends and receives information to and from a subordinate CPU through a driving IC. The subordinate CPU has a function for transferring the photometric information of a photometry element 10, distance measurement information as a distance measurement result, etc., to a main CPU and also sends and receives information to and from an automatic focusing IC. The automatic focusing IC controls the light emission of an infrared light emitting diode and also transfers the photodetection output information of a PSD which photodetects reflected infrared light from a subject as distance measurement information to the subordinate CPU. Then, the long-distance side of the focusing range of the macrophotographic mode and the short-distance side of the focusing range of the normal photographic mode overlap with each other. Consequently, even if there is the error in distance measurement, photography is enabled without any trouble and a reliable photograph is obtained. |
