PURPOSE: To obtain test results by generating test signals, taking in a digital data sequence indicating responsiveness of a device to be tested relative to the test signals, and carrying out the operation selected by user to this. CONSTITUTION: The computer based testing apparatus 10 is provided with an arbitrary wave generator 26, a data fetching system 28, and a computer 12. When the output signals generated by a device 11 to be tested is a continuous sequence of digital data, the fetching system 28 accumulates N pieces of latest data value of the sequence in a designable fetching memory 14. When the device to be tested generates analog output signals, the fetching system 28 converts analog signals into digital signals, and accumulates them in the memory 14 likewise. Then, a calculation operation to be executed can be selected with respect to the data sequence such that the user selects menu-items with regard to the calculation operation and selects windows for indicating the selected sequence, resulting in obtaining test results. |
