ORGANIC ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE:To increase the energy density and lengthen the cycle life by using as an organic solvent a mixture in which at least one or more of ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate and dimethyl tetrahydrofurane is mixed with diethyl carbonate. CONSTITUTION:An organic solvent in which at least one or more of ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate and dimethyl tetrahydrofurane is mixed with diethyl carbonated is used. The use of such organic solvent enables an improvement in charging/discharging efficiency of the negative electrode and a reduction in the excessive negative electrode active material amount, as said solvent is difficult to be reduced in charging. Thus, an organic electrolyte secondary battery having a long cycle life and a high energy density can be obtained.
