<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain the effect of a programmable cell suitable for use with, for example, a card of an electronic system by forming a conductive juncture which is invisible in appearance in the oxide between two conductive layers in the case of programming of the programmable cell. CONSTITUTION: The programmable cell is capable of executing programming by the occurrence of an electrical destruction in a dielectric layer and is so formed that programmable elements permanently shift from an electrically nonconductive state to a conductive state. This programmable cell has an asymmetrical bistable trigger circuit. This bistable trigger circuit attains a first state when the programmable elements are electrically nonconducting during the operation of the bistable trigger circuit. The circuit attains such a load state that the bistable trigger circuit is in the second state when the programmable elements are in the electrically conductive state. As a result, the integrated circuit having the programmable cell which does not allow the actual viewing of the data afterward and does not allow the erasure thereof is obtd. This integrated circuit is particularly suitable for use with the electronic type card.</p> |
