<p>The analogue indicator includes a dial (12) and an illuminated pointer (16) made of light transmitting material. The pointer is supported on a shaft (22) whose inner end is adjacent to a light source (26). A second light source (34) may also be provided, with a coloured filter so that it transmits for example red light into the pointer. Each light source is separated connected via a switch (30,38) to the vehicle's battery (32). The second light source is controlled so that it is illuminated when a particular value is attained on the displayed scale.</p> |
