OUTPUT CIRCUIT OF INVERTER FOR DISCHARGE LOAD

PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation by constituting the output circuit of an inverter with a step-up transformer and an external capacitor juxtaposed to a load. CONSTITUTION:Power is fed from a series inverter 10 comprising self- extinguishing switching element which is phase controlled through a PLL circuit to a discharge load 30 through a step-up transformer 20. An external reactor L is connected to the output side of the inverter 10 and a capacitor C is connected to the secondary of the step-up transformer 20 in parallel with the discharge load 30. Since the reactor L and the capacitor C prevents formation of a resonant circuit of the leakage inductance lx of the step-up transformer 20 and the stray capacity Cx, these values can be varied easily and the state of the discharge load 30 can be selected randomly.
