PURPOSE: To simplify and shorten the manufacturing process of an optical mask by using a light value matrix as the optical mask and controlling the light valve matrix by a signal relevant to a picture. CONSTITUTION: A light valve matrix is used as an optical mask. Then, the light valve matrix is composed of a first type liquid crystal layer, the pulse of a computer-processed recording beam 2 relevant to a picture is transmitted to one face of a first liquid crystal layer unit 1 in the constitution, and the opposite face of the liquid crystal layer unit 1 is used as a reflection mask for a light flux 3 radiated from a light source 4. In this case, for example a metallic halogenazed mercury lamp is used as the light source 4, and a cathode ray or a laser beam is used as the recording beam 2. Thus, the manufacturing process of the optical mask is simplified and shortened. |
