PURPOSE:To achieve excellent preserving performance and closing voltage characteristic by forming a mixed layer of manganese dioxide and carbon in both of the negative electrode facing side and the side contacting with a positive electrode case of a positive electrode mix having silver oxide as an active material and metal silver as a conductive auxiliary. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode mix 2 is obtained by pressure molding the particle having a metal silver layer formed by reducing the surface of a granular silver oxide particle. It has a mixed layer 9 of manganese dioxide with carbon on the surface side facing a negative electrode and on the opposite surface side contacting with a positive electrode case 1, and is inserted within the positive electrode case 1 together with a positive electrode ring 3 followed by compression molding. Such formation of the mixed layer of manganese dioxide with carbon on the surface side opposite to the negative electrode 7 of the positive electrode mix 2 results in reductions in the direct oxidation of a separator 4 by silver oxide and the dispersion of the mixed silver oxide. Hence, a stable closing voltage having an excellent preserving reliability can be obtained with a sufficient discharge capacity. |
