PURPOSE:To obviate the necessity of treating stage and to utilize formed goods for various purposes by melting dissimilar metals (alloys) under an inert gas and thermally spraying the resulting molten mixture on the surface of spongy titanium grains under an inert gas to allow a thin porous film to adhere to the above. CONSTITUTION:Dissimilar metals, such as zinc, copper and iron, or dissimilar alloys are mixed and melted in an inert-gas atmosphere of argon, etc. The resulting molten mixture is thermally sprayed under an inert gas to metallize respective surfaces of spongy titanium grains, by which thin porous films are allowed to adhere to respective spongy titanium grains and they are formed integrally. The resulting spongy titanium formed goods are homogeneous products easy of hydrogen adsorption and desorption and free from powdering and, as a result, utilizations for new purposes can be expected at the time of use. |
