Such improvements consist in establishing, in the cooling circuit or other source of heat of the engine, a heat- exchange vessel in which water vapour (steam) is generated which is conveyed to the cylinders of the engine via the latter's intake system, giving rise to the decomposition of the water vapour into atoms of hydrogen and oxygen, the latter acting as a combustible substance which improves the conditions of the combustion, whilst the former form a fuel to supplement the gasoline or diesel used by the engine.
