PURPOSE:To eliminate the movement blur or a subject and to improve the SN ratio of an image by providing a lighting control means which restricts projection so as to narrowing down the time width of pulse light as to >=1 primary color beams to a light source part which emits the primary color light beams in synchronism with plane sequential switching operation. CONSTITUTION:The light source part 6 is constituted by forming three narrow grooves 22 of cuts at the outer peripheral part of a disk 22 so that two of the grooves 22 are close to each other. Then, filters which transmit light beams of R, G, and B are embedded in the three grooves 22 as shown by R, G, and B in a figure. Further, those grooves 2 are each formed in one area formed by dividing the disk 23 equally into three in the circumferential direction. Then when the chopper 4 is rotated at a constant speed, the light source part emits the light beams of R, G, and B in synchronism with the plane sequential switching operation. Consequently, the movement blue of the subject in the color image is eliminated.
