PURPOSE:To prevent exposure unevenness due to the sensitivity dispersion of an image pickup element by providing a memory stored with polygonal line approximating an exposure corrected curve for a video signal output. CONSTITUTION:A shift pulse phi supplied at the field period of a television shifts a charge from a photoelectric converting emolument 41 to a vertical shift register 42. A gate pulse phiG to clear the charge of each photoelectric converting element is supplied to a gate 45. A signal read through the vertical shift register 42 and a horizontal shift register 43 after the supplying of phiV is gated by a pulse phig only during a period from 99.5H to 227.5H when it passes through a buffer amplifier 44, the signal for this portion is integrated, A/D-converted, and an integration value ALCout is obtained. A CPU 1 stores the constant of PRE-EXP0 to PRE-EXP4, determines an exposure correction level EXP-C corresponding to the value of ALC-out, and corrects a shutter speed based on the value of EXP-C. Thus, the exposure unevenness due to the sensitivity dispersion of the image pickup element can be prevented. |
