PURPOSE: To contrive improvement of the S/N by making the active surface of a light sensitive element small and lessening the capacitance of light sensitive dots. CONSTITUTION: An image detector 10 has an output screen 15 between a scintillator 11 and a light sensitive matrix l, which is divided into element surfaces Se1-Se9 and has light sensitive dots PI-P9. And when the scintillator 11 is responded to an incident radiation to emit visible radiation photons, the output screen 15 does not transmit light, and light only from an opening 18 is passed. Here, the opening 18 has an area which is further smaller than the element surfaces Se1-Se9, the photons on the screen 20 of the input face 21 of the scintillator 11 are reflected and scattered to the direction of an output face 16 thereof, and the all photons colliding with the output screen 15 receive multiple reflection and scattering to pass the opening 18. Thus, if the active areas Sa1-Sa9 of a light sensitive element D is slightly larger than the area of the opening 18, it will be sufficient, and the capacitance C of the element D is lessened to improve the S/N.
