A liquid mixture is stirred by a rotary immersion rod with one or more radial fins. The leading edge of each fin includes an angle with a plane at right angles to the axis of rotation of the rod. Each fin is fixed to a spindle extending outwards and turning in a supporting frame on the end of the rod. Each fin turns between the initial fine-pitch angle and the maximum-pitch one.
