PURPOSE:To secure destaticization and to prevent the blacking in a normal mode from becoming insufficiently black and the generation of ground fogging in an inverted mode by carrying out an electrifying process whenever there is any influence of the residual electric charge from a preceding mode, at the time of switching the image forming mode. CONSTITUTION:The switching of normal/reversal modes is carried out by interruption processing. First, whether a mode switching permission flag is set or not is discriminated, when it is set, to which of normal or inversion the mode changing switch is set is discriminated, and whether the changing device is changed from the previous condition or not is discriminated. When there is a change, the timer (t) is read, and if it is within the specified time T, a pre- electrifying process is carried out, responding to the switching mode. When the timer (t) passes over the specified time T, an image forming action is immediately taken. When there is influence from the residual electric charge, pre- electrifying processing is carried out to destaticize, so the blacking at the time of normal mode is prevented from being insufficiently black, and the generation of the ground fogging at the time of reversal mode is prevented. |
