<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage and melting of a filter in regeneration and easily combust soot by installing a soot removing filter, high temperature gas feeding burner and a control plate for the high temperature gas stream on the downstream side of a filter and combuting the soot piled on the filter by the high temperature gas and regenerating the filter. CONSTITUTION:In order to regenerate filters 13a and 13b in which a large quantity of soot is piled, an elliptical vane 10 is turned by 90 deg. from a neutral position, and then a combustion chamber 8 and the filter 13a communicate each other, and the other filter 13b communicates to a connection port 2 with an exhaust pipe. Electric spark discharge is carried out by an ignitor 7, and when fuel and air are supplied, fuel is atomized and jetted into the combustion chamber 8. At this time, the fuel mist is ignited by the spark of the ignitor 7, and fire flame is formed, and the superior combustion state is generated in the combustion chamber 8, and the high temperature gas is introduced into a case 12a through a four-way valve 9. The high temperature gas reaches the filter 13a, and streams are collected in the vicinity of the center part and the outer periphery inside the filter 13a by the action of a control plate 14a.
