<p>PURPOSE:To attain different LANs via a bridge for both communication of terminal equipments using or not using a source routing(SR) by providing function storing information relating to a 1st terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A LAN 3 connecting 1st and 2nd terminal equipments 2A, 2B is interconnected to other LAN via bridges 4A, 4B, the terminal equipment 2A generates a path retrieval frame at the start of communication and sent to all LAN 3. Then a bridge 4A (or 4B) receiving a frame not having a path information field from the LAN 3 checks as to whether an address written in the field of the source address is already registered in its own SR terminal table 1A or 2B. As a result, when the address is registered, since the frame is a frame whose destination from the terminal equipment 2A is in the same LAN 3, the frame is aborted and when not registered, the frame is used as a relay object. Thus, the communication between terminal equipments 2A or between terminal equipments 2B is implemented between different LANs via the bridge.</p> |
