PURPOSE:To improve erosion resistance and thermal spalling resistance by adding an additive to combined material of the prescribed wt.% of carbonaceous grain and the prescribed wt.% of alumina quality grain and compacting a material adding and kneading the prescribed wt.% of silica sol binder to the above with a centrifugal forming machine. CONSTITUTION:The additive is added to the combined material of 40-60wt.% carbonaceous grain containing 20-40wt.% of 3-1mm grain size and 50-30wt.% of alumina quality grain containing 10-25wt.% of 1-0.074mm grain size. Kneaded paste material obtd. by adding and kneading 11-15wt.% (outer ratio) silica sol binder to 100% of the above, is compacted by centrifugal-forming with 15-35G for 15-20min. In the outer circumferential direction of the nozzle, the alumina-rich layer 2 intermingling much alumina quality grain is formed and in the inner circumferential direction of the nozzle, the carbon-rich layer 1 intermingling much carbonaceous grain is formed. By this method, the erosion resistance at the contacting surface with slag and metal is improved and also lowering of coefficient of heat expansion is obtd. and the thermal spalling resistance is improved. |
